Tree Removal
When a tree has to come out, the job is won or lost in the planning. We assess the lean, the decay, the drop zone and everything around it — conservatories, fence panels, cables, neighbouring gardens — then dismantle in sections and lower each piece under control rather than dropping it.

02 — Service
Tree Felling
On open ground a straight fell is the cleanest, quickest and most economical way to take a tree down. We cut a precise directional notch, use wedges or a pull line to control the fall, and process the timber where it lands.

Tree Pruning
Good pruning is mostly about what you leave behind. We remove crossing, damaged and badly placed growth at the right union so the wound seals cleanly, then balance the crown so the tree keeps its natural form instead of looking cut back.

Crown Reduction
A crown reduction takes the sail area and weight out of a tree that has outgrown its space — usually shading a garden or crowding a roofline. Every cut goes back to a suitable growth point so the tree recovers with a natural silhouette rather than a flat top.

Crown Lifting
Crown lifting removes the lowest limbs to open up headroom underneath — over a footpath, a driveway or a lawn that never dries out. It is one of the least invasive ways to make a large tree workable again.

Dead Wood Removal
Deadwood is the most common cause of injury and property damage from otherwise healthy trees. We climb the crown, sound out the questionable unions and remove anything brittle, hung up or decayed — leaving habitat wood where it is safe to do so.

Hedge Trimming
We cut hedges by eye and by line — laurel, privet, conifer, beech, box and mixed native. Faces are tapered slightly so light reaches the bottom and the hedge stays thick from the ground up rather than going bare and woody at the base.

Stump Grinding
A ground-out stump means no regrowth, no trip hazard and no honey fungus habitat. We grind 150–300mm below finished level depending on what is going back on top, then backfill with the arisings or clear them away.
